GPS features: Known issues
Microsoft ActiveX
Personal interviewing uses a Microsoft ActiveX control when interacting with the location sensor. This might result in the Interviewer seeing this Windows Security Warning message:
An ActiveX control on this page might be unsafe to interact
with other parts of the page. Do you want to allow this interaction?
To avoid the warning, do one of the following:
Enable Microsoft Internet Explorer’s Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting setting: Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom level.
Edit the following registry value: change its value from 1201 to 0:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0
You might need to close all web browser instances to make this change takes effect.
Inserting multiple GPS questions
A variable conflict error, in the GPSScript item, can occur when the same GPS question is inserted multiple times from Library > Questions > GPS.
To avoid this error, rename the duplicate variables.
