Creating profiles of respondent data
You can also create tables that display the responses to one or more questions for all respondents or for selected respondents. These tables are called profile tables. Profile tables are useful for getting a overview of the responses in a survey. For example, you might want a rough idea of the distances traveled by respondents who have visited the museum several times in the past year.
Create a profile table
1 Click Tables > New > Profile, or press Ctrl+R.
2 In the Variables pane, drag the visits12 variable into the Profile area on the Design pane.
3 Add the distance variable to the profile.
4 Replace the default profile description with Frequent visitors.
5 Click the Filter tab, and then drag the visits12 variable to the Filter area.
6 Select is greater than or equal to from the list, and then type 5 in the box.
7 Press F5 to generate the results.
The profile table shows a list of the responses to the Number of previous visits in last 12 months and Distance from home to museum questions for all respondents who have visited the museum five or more times in the last 12 months.
8 Change the style of the table: choose Color Code from the list of stylesheets in the toolbar.
All the other tables also change to use the new style.
9 Press Ctrl+S to save the profile table in the table document.
