Creating the installing and running users (domain installations)
1 Create new domain accounts for the Installing and Running Users.
If the domain uses case‑sensitive SQL, you must create the Running User with the Full name and Logon name in the same case.
2 Add the domain accounts for the Installing User and Running User to the local Administrator group on each computer that will run the Web, Interviewing, or Accessories services. This is not necessary on computers that will run only the Database service.
3 If your network has both Windows NT and Active Directory domains, add the running user to the “Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access” domain group.
To do this, go to Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers. Click the domain, and then click Builtin. In the right pane, right-click the Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access group; click Add; and then add the running user.
After you have installed V7.5.1 Fix Pack 2 or later, you can remove the running user from the “Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access” domain group.
