Hiding categories
You can hide a category that occurs in a variable so that it does not appear in tables. See Removing categories from a table for further information about this and other methods of removing categories from your tables.
To hide a category in a variable for all tables
1 Select the Define tab.
2 In the Variable List, select the variable you want to change, and then click Variables > Edit.
The Edit Variable dialog opens: see Edit Variable dialog.
3 In the Edit tab, check the box in the Hide column for the category that you want to hide.
4 Click OK to close the Edit Variable dialog.
To hide a category in a variable for the current table
1 In the Table List, select the required table.
2 Select the Define tab.
3 In the Table Definition section, select the variable that you want to change.
4 Click the Edit Axis icon on the Table Definition toolbar.
The Edit Axis dialog opens.
5 In the Edit tab, check the box in the Hide column for the category that you want to hide.
6 Click OK to close the Edit Variable dialog.
