Configuring the system
ULT clients periodically connect to the License Server to request additional licensed resources, and to inform the Server that the client is still using the resources that it has been given. Typically, each UNICOM® Digital Transformation Toolkit (UDTT™) project connects to the License Server when you start UDTT. Each connection has a system file descriptor assigned to it, but the number of file descriptors that each process can own is usually limited by the operating system.
If you have a lot of clients (that is, tens of thousands), you must ensure that the License Server can handle the required number of simultaneous connections: Make sure that the ulimit –n limits are set appropriately (for example, by setting the soft limit to the same value as the hard limit. To do this, contact your system administrator.
