You can save an XUI file as a template so that it can be used to create other XUI files.
To save an XUI file as a template
1 In the Enterprise Explorer pane, right-click the XUI file that you want to save as a template, and then click XUI Editor > Save As UDTT XUI Template.
The Save as UDTT xui template window opens.
2 In the Template Name field, enter a name for the template.
3 In the Input the description for the UDTT xui template field, enter a description for the template.
The description of the template is displayed when the template is selected during the creation of another XUI file.
4 Click OK.
5 If the XUI file is already saved as a template, the Save and Coverage window displays. If you want to save the changes in the XUI file to the template, click Yes. If do not want to save the changes to the template and you want to create a new template, click No, and then enter a new template name in the Template Name field.
Result
The XUI file is saved as a template. During the creation of another XUI file, the template is available for selection in the Template page of the Create XUI File wizard.
If the XUI file that is saved as a template is updated, the changes can be saved to the template. To update a template by saving the changes in the XUI file, repeat the steps above.
