How axes are combined in multiprojects
When databases are combined into a multiproject, the multiproject program builds an internal cross-reference table showing which axes and variables are present in each database; for example:
North
Midlands
South
age
age
age
sex
 
sex
mstat
mstat
 
When the user analyzes this new databases, they might choose whether to look at all its constituent databases or only a subset of them. For example, they might look at all regions or only Midlands and South.
