The SQL passthrough enables applications to access data in all solidDB^® databases in the IBM InfoSphere CDC replication configuration with a single connection. For example, SQL passthrough can be enabled in such a way that those SQL statements that cannot be executed in one solidDB^® server are passed over to another.

The SQL passthrough feature is described in “SQL passthrough” in the solidDB^® Universal Cache User Guide. The instructions apply to solidDB^®-to-IBM InfoSphere CDC replication configurations as well, except that both the front-end and back-end data servers are solidDB^® databases.
