Installing and configuring IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB®
To install IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB®, follow the instructions in the installation wizard. After installation, use the IBM Infosphere CDC configuration tool to configure your IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB® instances.
Before you begin
Ensure that:
Your solidDB® server is running.
You have created your solidDB® database.
You know the username and password for your solidDB® database.
You know the network address and port number the solidDB® server is listening to.
You have created a new schema or decided which existing schema you want IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB® to create the metadata tables in.
Procedure
1 Install IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB®.
a On the downloaded installation image or the installation DVD, locate the installation program file for your operating system:
setup-x86-solid.exe (Windows)
setup-<platform>-solid.bin (Linux and UNIX)
b Double-click the installation program file. The installation wizard starts.
c Follow the wizard's instructions to complete the installation.
In Linux and UNIX operating systems, you must be able write to the directory that you are using for the installation. If the installation program cannot create the directory, you are prompted to specify a different directory.
At the end of installation, select to launch the IBM Infosphere CDC configuration tool to configure your IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB® instances.
2 Using the configuration tool, create a new instance of IBM Infosphere CDC for solidDB®.
