7. Creating Roles
Each Process must have one or more Roles (Resources) assigned to it, otherwise the process cannot be performed. In this tutorial, you will create three Roles, a Manager and two Clerks to process Orders.
Creating Roles
1 Within System Architect’s Explorer, highlight the Definitions branch and select New.
2 In the ‘Select new type for all Methods’ dialog, scroll down and double-click the Role definition.
3 Type Orders Manager as the name of a new Role. On the Sim Definition tab, set the Role Costing settings to When Idle = 1, When Busy = 1, and Unit = Hour as shown below:

4 Press OK.
5 Create the following two Roles, with the same Role Costing settings as specified in the dialog above:
Orders Clerk 1
Orders Clerk 2
