Modeling with swimlanes (DoDAF 2)
You can specify the resources, such as systems, performers, capabilities, and their subtypes, that perform functions by positioning the functions in swimlanes. Then you specify the system, performer, or capability that the swimlane represents in the swimlane definition.
Prerequisite
You must first enable swimlanes in the Diagram Properties.
Procedure
1 Right-click an empty area of the diagram workspace, and then click Diagram Properties.
2 Select Horizontal or Vertical, and then click OK.
3 On the Drawing toolbar, use the Swimlanes symbol to select and draw swimlanes on the diagram.
