Organization charts for enterprise architectures
The Organization Chart provides a hierarchical view of the way groups within your business enterprise report to one another. It describes the hierarchical structure in terms of Organizational Units.
An Organizational Unit is a formally defined subset of your enterprise which exists for a specific business purpose. You can specify an organizational unit as being of type work group, business unit, or directing unit. You can identify the Roles performed within each Organizational Unit, where Roles are particular duties that are performed within the organization. Within each Role, you can describe the Competencies needed to perform the Role.
