Adding and defining cost drivers in IDEF0
After defining the activity cost data, you need to add and define cost drivers.
1 Click Add to add this cost driver to the cost pool for this activity.
2 Click Define.
3 In the Dictionary Object - Cost Driver dialog box, type a description if needed; then in the Cost field, type a monetary cost figure.
4 To indicate that this figure should be multiplied by the frequency of the activity, select the Variable check box.
5 In the Cost Center field, type the cost center to which this cost driver is assigned at. If desired, click Define to add a definition for this cost center. Then click OK.
6 You can decide to add additional cost drivers to the cost pool for this activity.
When you have defined the activity cost data, you can calculate costs.
