SSADM context diagrams
The context diagram represents the scope of the system under analysis and design.
The system is represented by a system symbol. Entities or objects outside of the system, but which send information to the system or receive information from the system are represented by externals. The external entities can have some descriptive text added to indicate their relationship to the system, but what goes on inside an external is outside of the system, and of no interest to it.
