Enabling TOGAF modeling features
To use TOGAF features, you must enable the TOGAF Framework in the Property Configuration dialog. You can also open the TOGAF Framework Browser, which enables you to navigate the TOGAF information using the seven ADM Phases and the deliverables of each.
Enabling the TOGAF Framework
To enable the TOGAF Framework in the Property Configuration dialog, complete these steps:
1 Click Tools > Customize Method Support > Encyclopedia Configuration.
2 In the System Architect Property Configuration dialog box, select TOGAF.
3 If you click Advanced, you can see that selecting TOGAF turns on the options listed below.
Note TOGAF 10 eliminates the notion of turning on/off different aspects of modeling – but you can still filter the diagram/definition set by turning these extensions on/off.

4 Click OK.
5 To apply the changes, reopen the encyclopedia: Click File > Open Encyclopedia.
Opening the TOGAF Framework Browser
To open the TOGAF Framework Browser, complete these steps:
1 Click File > Edit Framework.
2 In the Framework Editor dialog box, click the Framework tab; then in the Available Frameworks list, select TOGAF.
3 Select Set as default framework.
4 To open the TOGAF Framework Browser, close any currently open framework, and then click File > Show Framework.

If you click a circle in the TOGAF Framework Browser, dialog boxes open that provide access to the applicable diagrams, definitions, and matrices for that phase.
