Installing SQL Server Express
If you are evaluating System Architect or want to work with encyclopedias locally, you can use the Startup Wizard to install Microsoft SQL Server Express. This creates a local server on your computer which you can use to open and create encyclopedias.
Start System Architect. Click Start > UNICOM Systems > System Architect.
Click Help > Startup Wizard.
In the System Architect Startup Wizard, click Next.
Select Configure where project data will be stored. If other options are selected, clear the check boxes.
Click Next.
On the Configure where encyclopedias will be stored window, click Install a new instance of SQL Express on this machine.
To configure the location where the database software is installed, where SQL databases are stored, and the name of the SQL Server Express instance, select Configure advanced SQL Express options; then click Next and set the advanced information.
Click Next.
Review your configuration selections, and then click Finish.
