Sending model artifacts from System Architect to IBM Rational DOORS
The general steps to send model artifacts to IBM Rational DOORS are as follows:
1 Select model artifacts to be sent to IBM Rational DOORS through commands in System Architect's Explorer or through the diagram workspace.
For more information, see Selecting model artifacts to send to IBM Rational DOORS.
2 Select the module grouping of artifacts you want to send, shown as a transfer unit definition in System Architect's DOORS tab, and send it to IBM Rational DOORS. This step is described in the section that follows.
Sending model artifacts to IBM Rational DOORS
1 Right-click the transfer unit in the DOORS tab within System Architect, and choose IBM Rational DOORS, Send to IBM Rational DOORS, to send the module with its System Architect model artifacts in it, to IBM Rational DOORS. You are presented with a dialog that lists the current IBM Rational DOORS modules – specifically only the IBM Rational DOORS modules “owned” by System Architect.
2 Specify what module in IBM Rational DOORS the transfer unit definition ports to. The module will be a “surrogate” module in IBM Rational DOORS.
