Creating diagrams
System Architect XT enables you to create or edit Business Process and Organization Chart diagrams. To create diagrams, you must login with the Updater role and have the Java Runtime Environment enabled on your computer (see the System Architect XT ReadMe file for requirements). The procedure to create diagrams is the same for either diagram types that you can create.
To create a diagram with System Architect XT
1 On the Home page of System Architect XT, click System Architect XT Explorer.
2 Click the Business Process or Organization Chart icons (with the blue asterisk in the upper left corner).
3 In the CREATE DIAGRAM page, enter a name in the Diagram Name field, and then click OK.
A new browser window opens, with the name of your diagram displayed in the Title bar. The Address bar shows the diagram’s URL, which includes DDID=n, where n is the number assigned to the diagram you created.
For example:
http://<computername>/SAXT/diagramming.aspx?DDID=4744
4 You can now work on your diagram with the same drawing options that are available in System Architect, for the diagram type you have created.
Note When you click X to close a diagram, System Architect XT prompts you to save the diagram if you made changes but did not save them. If you already saved the diagram, the diagram is closed, along with the browser window that displayed it. You remain logged into the encyclopedia and are returned to the Explorer window.
