Lesson 8: Set type defaults
In this tab you specify default reports to run for particular diagram, symbol, or definition types. For example, a Use Case diagram is a type of diagram, an actor and a Use Case are types of symbols, a class definition or a Use Case definition is a type of definition.
In the System Architect Types list box on the right of the Type Defaults tab, only Diagrams and Definitions are listed at the highest level. Symbols are found by expanding the Diagrams choice, and expanding a particular diagram type.
To specify a default report for a particular diagram, or symbol, or definition type
1 Select the Type Defaults tab.
2 Drag a report from the Available Reports list to the System Architect Types list box, under the Definition, Symbol, or Definition type.
System Architect Publisher signifies that a report has been specified for a type by augmenting the icon representing the type with an 'R' in circle icon.
This graphic is described in the surrounding text.
Note You cannot bring over reports that are subreports in this dialog. They are missing the WHERE "Identity" = "SWGDDID" clause, and you will be told that this is missing.
Now you can specify alternative reports.
