Filtering the Milestones that are shown on diagrams
You can place System Projects that have a disparate set of Milestones on a diagram. If you want to view these projects in terms of their common Milestones, you can set a filter that sorts Milestones by the topmost project.
1 Open the diagram Property dialog box. With the AcV-2 diagram open, click Edit > Diagram Properties.
2 On the Behaviour tab, select Milestones filtered by topmost project, phase colours come from settings in topmost project.
When selected, only the Milestones that exist in the topmost System Project on the diagram will be displayed in all of the System Projects on the diagram. Also, the in-between-Milestone phase colors for all System Projects will also abide by what is set in the topmost System Project.
Specifically, with this property set, all Milestones take their Following Colour value from the common Milestones on the topmost System Project. For example, let's say you have two System Projects on a diagram — System Project_1 and System Project_2, where System Project_1 is the topmost project. Each System Project has a Milestone named Stage_1. The Following Colour property of Stage_1 Milestone on System Project_1 is set to red, and the Following Colour property of Stage_1 Milestone on System Project_2 is set to blue. If you toggle this property on, then on the diagram, the color of the System Project line after the Stage_1 Milestone on System Project_2 will be red (not blue).
Also, with this property set, all System Projects take their Pre-First Milestone Colour from the topmost project. So if the Pre-First Milestone Colour property for System Project_1 is green, and the Pre-First Milestone Colour property for System Project_2 is black, then on the diagram both System Project lines will have a green color before their Stage_1 Milestone.
