What is the entity pool?
The entity pool is a group of entities that do not belong to any specific logical data model. These entity definitions can be used in any model in the encyclopedia. Simply drag the entity name from the Explorer dialog onto an Entity Relation diagram. The entity dragged onto a specific ERD is a copy of the entity in the pool. This copy can be used by any number of models.
Note Changes made to the entity after it has been added to a specific data model do not affect the original in the pool.
To create an entity for the pool
1 Right click Definition in the Explorer.
2 Select entity from the list of definitions.
The model is automatically designated as “Pool.”
3 Enter the values of all properties in the Entity Editor. Click OK.
