Importing an IDL file in IDEF0

You can import data from a common exchange format into your IDEF0 model.

1 From the Tools menu, select IDEF Utilities > IDEF0 Import IDL.

The IDL Import dialog appears.

2 From the Options menu, select Session. IDL Import Options dialog appears.

3 Select the appropriate options. If you want to save these options for all subsequent IDL importing, select Save Options. Click OK.

Replace replaces all definitions and diagrams,

Add New Only does not replace existing definitions and diagrams, but add new ones.

Prompt On Conflicts asks you whether to replace the definition or diagram for each duplicate.

4 Click File > Import, specify an IDL file, and then click OK.
