Setting squiggles for ICOM arrows
A squiggle in OV-5 is a jagged line used to show that a particular name applies to a particular arrow, in cases where the two are no longer adjacent on the diagram.
Squiggles can also be used to connect graphic comments and Operational activities for the same reason.
System Architect allows you to set the maximum allowable distance between label and symbol before the squiggle automatically appears. To set squiggles and allowable distance:
1 With your diagram open, from the Format menu, select Diagram Format, Notation. The Notation dialog appears.
2 In the Line to Remote Text section, check 'Squiggled' Line.
3 Check Draw line to text if it is further away than and enter the number of inches. Click OK.
