Concrete resource types
On SV-1 diagrams, you can specify the allocations of specific resources such as people, platforms, facilities, and systems, which are being addressed for implementing specific operations.
The following list describes the concrete resource types.
Capability Configuration
A configuration of Resources that provides a capability.
Platform
A type of Physical Asset.
System Resource
A type of Physical Asset.
Software
Software implemented on a system.
Physical Asset
An artifact that may be used as a platform or a system.
Organization Type
A type of organization. For more information, see OV-4 model elements.
Post Type
A type of post (or job title). (For more information, see OV-4 model elements.
Role Type
The role that someone plays in the organization. (See Actual Post description below for some more detail.) You should only draw Role Types underneath Post Types in the hierarchy. For more information, see OV-4 model elements.
MODAF metamodel for SV-1
The following image shows part of the MODAF metamodel for SV-1. Resource Type is an abstract type; the actual, concrete resources that can be drawn are Capability Configuration, Artefact, Software, System Resource, Physical Asset, Platform, Role Type, Organisation Type, and Post Type. Each of these concrete resources inherits properties from the abstract type, “Resource Type.”
