This utility is used to import an Information Exchange Matrix, done in an Excel spreadsheet and creates a new OV-2 Operational Node Connectivity Diagram. The utility will use the information present in the IER Matrix to put together a collection of Needlines, their associated Information Exchanges, and their appropriate source and destination Operational Nodes. This information will then be used to create the Operational Nodes, draw the appropriate Needlines and populate the Needline definitions with their corresponding Information Exchanges. This utility can only be used to create new OV-2 diagrams and cannot be used to update existing ones.
1 Click Tools > MODAF Utilities.
2 Select Import OV-2 from IER Matrix.
3 Selecting the Browse button will present a standard Windows dialog to select the IER Matrix File.
4 Select the File For Import and Open.
5 A message box asks if the Import IER Definitions has been run for this matrix. If you click No, it automatically runs Import IER Definitions before running this utility.
6 When prompted, Name the diagram.
Finished product will be an OV-2 diagram with Op Nodes and Needlines.
