Creating NOV-7 logical data model products for NAF 3
The Logical Data Model (LDM) is used to document the data requirements and structural business process rules of the architecture's operational view. It describes the data and information that is associated with the information exchanges of the architecture, in the scope and to the level of detail required for the purposes of the architecture.
Prerequisite
Before you can create an OV-7 logical data model diagram, a model must have already been created in the encyclopedia.
Procedure
1 Create a new IDEF1X diagram.
See Creating a new ER or IDEF1X diagram.
2 Add entities to the diagram to represent each person, place, event, or concept about which information will be maintained in the system.
3 Add relation lines between entities to represent associations.
