Drawing Service Functions on NSOV diagrams for NAF 3
The NSOV-5 is used to model the required functionality that an implementation of a service is expected to have. Add Service Functions to your NSOV-5 diagram to depict the required functionality.
1 To draw a Service Function, draw an Action State on the diagram.
2 Open the Definition dialog box for the Action State.
3 On the Introduction tab, navigate to Page 2; then from the Stereotype drop-down list, select Service Function.
Note If you have specified that the diagram is of stereotype <<NSOV-05 Service Functionality>>, then the stereotype property of the Action State is automatically set to <<Service Function>>. To turn off display of this stereotype, right-click the Action State symbol; then toggle off Stereotype.
4 Click OK.
The term Service Function is appended to the name of the Service Function on the diagram.
5 Draw Action Transition lines between Action States to denote functional flow.
