Build application landscape reports
When building an Application Landscape Report note that it must start with or end with one of the definition types that are supported in the Application Landscape diagram.
In the steps that follow, an example Application Landscape Report definition is created that examines Service Components and the Component Categories that they are part of. This report is then used against an Application Landscape diagram that contains Component Category symbols.
1 Create a new Application Landscape Report definition, and name it, for example “Service Components that are part of a Component Category.”
2 Click Edit Content.
3 Specify the starting point to be a Definitions report Where the Type="Service Component".
4 Click the relationship list, and then click is part of Definitions.
This will identify those Service Components definitions that are part of a Component Category definition.
5 Set the definition type to Component Category. Set Identity to #DDIDS#.
Note When an Application Landscape Report is executed it is run against the identities of the objects populated in the diagram. The identities are fed into the report and the #DDIDS# is a placeholder that makes use of the fed identities.
6 Click OK.
7 Run the new Application Landscape Report: see Build landscape from template.
