Architecting and designing : TOGAF : Building deliverables for the TOGAF Architecture Development Method : Building deliverables for the TOGAF preliminary phase : Preliminary framework and principles

Preliminary framework and principles
Preliminary work of the enterprise architecture effort includes agreeing on the architecture principles of the organization, deciding upon the framework and method you will use, defining the “architecture footprint” for the organization (the people responsible for performing architecture work, where they are located, and their responsibilities), and specifying the scope of the effort.
You can use the TOGAF framework, another framework, or tailor the TOGAF framework or another framework to create a framework particular to your organization. Method wise, you can use TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM), tailoring it as necessary, or use another method.
