Whenever an encyclopedia is opened, the encyclopedia’s SAPROPS.CFG and USRPROPS.TXT files are loaded, parsed, and checked for errors. Your revised version of the properties files will be reloaded, and, if error free, will take effect immediately. However, if your changes produce a warning or error when you reopen the encyclopedia, proceed as follows:
▪If you get a warning message, click OK to close the dialog. Because the specific lines producing the warning will not be loaded with properties file, you should fix the lines that cause the warning before continuing your work. All lines that do not have warnings will be loaded.
▪If you get an error message, the encyclopedia will not load. To repair the error:
Start the System Architect Encyclopedia Manager utility and select the encyclopedia you are working on.
Click Tools > File Manager.
Select the USRPROPS.TXT file and click Export a file from the encyclopedia icon. Do not close the File Manager so you can import the file after you fix it.
Using a text editor, open USRPROPS.TXT, fix the line producing the error, then save and close the file.
In File Manager, click the Import a file from the encyclopedia icon and select the USRPROPS.TXT file that you modified above.
