Editing or adding global report information
You may use any text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad to change the information in the global definition block of a Report Definition file.
Note The information in the global definition block cannot be edited in either the Report Editor or the Text Editor.
1 Open the report definition (.rpt) file in the text editor of your choice.
2 Change the DEFINE, FIELD, FONT, SETTING, or REM commands as appropriate.
3 Remember, any commands entered here apply to every report in the file.
4 Click File > Save.
5 Close the text editor.
Note Your changes must be exactly according to the expected syntax. If the syntax or order of commands is not correct, you will not be able to execute any reports contained in the Report Definition file until the errors in it are fixed.
