These commands enable navigation of relationships between objects by supplying the outgoing property from the current item (in the case of REFERENCES) or the property referencing the current item (in the case of REFERENCEDBY).

REFERENCES/REFERENCEDBY are used in the WHERE clause between JOIN statements.
