Import options for TXT
As an example, assume that you already have an active encyclopedia and that you are importing data element description information to overlay the existing description data. Assume also that sometimes a description is missing from the .TXT file being imported, as is the case for name3 in the following example:
<<name1>> data1................. <<name2>> data2................. <<name3>> <<name4>> .......................
Concerning name3, you can specify that, because there is no data, the existing encyclopedia is to be left as is, in which case you select Replace description when data supplied. You can also specify that you want the description of name3 to be cleared and made empty, in which case you select Replace description - clear if no data.
When importing data in text format, choose from these options:
Never replace existing definition
Replace description when data supplied
Replace description - clear if no data
