Implement the project work and preview linked Focal Point® business needs
After the business needs are published into Rational Team Concert, the priorities might further be changed in Focal Point®. During project development, it's also essential to ensure that the business needs latest priorities are checked constantly and are aligned with the changes done in Focal Point®. This can be done by previewing the linked business needs in Rational Team Concert. The users of Rational Team Concert can preview linked elements without an additional user license for Focal Point®.
Procedure
1 To enable users of Rational Team Concert to preview elements that are published from Focal Point®, configure a preview view for the linked elements module in Focal Point®, see Configuring a view for previewing linked elements in Focal Point®. You select or create a view that includes only the attributes that are suitable for preview from Rational Team Concert.
2 In Rational Team Concert, analyze the work items and create detailed development (or children) work items. Specify the required effort estimates, costs and so on.
3 In Rational Team Concert, hover over the links to view the Focal Point® business need details.
