To integrate Focal Point^® and the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM), you must complete several setup tasks.

You set up friends, create attributes for selecting project areas and storing links, and configure view commands and business rules for updating values from CLM applications. To preview elements from a CLM application, you register as a friend in the CLM application and configure a view for previewing linked elements. You can also authorize users of the CLM application to access the view without authentication.
