Generating traceability reports for the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management
You can generate a report to trace linked elements in Focal Point® and artifacts in applications of the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM).
Before you begin
An administrator with an installed Rational Publishing Engine must modify a predefined .dta file by including valid report user credentials in the file: see Editing a traceability report template in Rational Publishing Engine.
A global administrator must add the modified .dta file as a report template in Focal Point®: see Adding a traceability report template for the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management.
A workspace administrator must create a report type that connects the report template to a start view: see Adding a traceability report template for the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management.
Procedure
1 Click the Settings icon Settings icon, and then, from the Configure group, click Generate Report.
2 Select a traceability report.
3 On the Report page, you can modify the selected start view for the report.
Make sure that the start view displays no more than one or two projects. Leave the settings for the other data sources intact.
4 Click Generate Report.
5 Click the link to download a compressed file that includes the report. The report is in the formats that were selected in the report type configuration.
