This tutorial consists of three modules describing the integration with the Requirements Management and Change and Configuration Management applications of IBM Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management.In this tutorial, you as business analyst, create and publish business needs to the IBM Rational solution for CLM applications, feed back the important performance indicators to Focal Point® for continuous monitoring and course correction, and create traceability reports.
Learning objectives
Create workspace, elements, and attributes in Focal Point®
Configure the integration between Focal Point® and IBM Rational solution for CLM.
Create business needs in Focal Point® and publish them as requirements into an existing project area in IBM Rational Requirements Composer.
Update the requirements in IBM Rational Requirements Composer, and view and track the progress of these in Focal Point®.
Publish the business needs as work items for project management into IBM Rational Team Concert.
Update the work items in IBM Rational Team Concert, and view and track the progress of these in Focal Point®.
Generate traceability reports in Focal Point®.

Prerequisites and assumptions
This tutorial is designed to help you with the integration configuration and covers only a few uses cases to show some of the possible tasks that you can do when the integration is set up.
Integration with the Requirement Management application lessons: A project area is created in the Requirements Management application and the lessons focus on publishing the business needs from Focal Point® as feature artifacts into this project area.
Integration with the Change and Configuration Management application lessons: The lessons show how to create a IBM Rational Team Concert project area from Focal Point® and also publish business needs from Focal Point® as work items into IBM Rational Team Concert.
You must have Global administrator rights for Focal Point® and IBM Rational solution for CLM.

1 Module 1: Setting up a workspace
This module describes how to create a workspace and set it up by creating module, elements, attributes, and a view.
2 Module 2: Configure the integration
This module is intended for users with Global Administrator rights in Focal Point® and IBM Rational solution for CLM applications. In this module, you register Focal Point® as a consumer and provider in IBM Rational solution for CLM.
3 Module 3: Manage business needs with CLM applications
This module is intended for users with Regular User rights to create artifacts and associate links in the IBM Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management applications. The administrator will then generate a report.
