Before you can preview Focal Point elements from an application of the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM), you must register Focal Point as an outbound friend in the CLM application configuration.
Before you begin
You must have administrator credentials for the CLM application.
In Focal Point, click Application > Login Page and in Login or Balancer URL type the Focal Point URL. For example:
http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/fp/servlet/Login

Procedure
1 Complete one of the following steps:
For the Requirements Management application in the Rational solution for CLM, go to:
https://example.com:9443/jts/admin
and then click Jazz Team Server - Server Administration, or Manage Server for Rational solution for CLM V4.0.
For the Change and Configuration Management application in the Rational solution for CLM, go to:
https://example.com:9443/ccm/admin
2 In the navigation bar, click Friends (Outbound).
3 Register the friend:
Click Add.
In Name, type the name of your Focal Point instance.
In the Root Services URI field, enter the Focal Point URI that corresponds to:
http://example.com:portnumber/fp/resources/rootservices
In Oauth Secret, type a secret phrase.
Clear Trusted.
The Trusted setting does not apply in Focal Point. The authentication settings are handled in the inbound consumer configuration in Focal Point.
4 Click Create Friend.
Results
The CLM application is automatically displayed as an inbound consumer in Focal Point. You can edit the authentication settings for the CLM application in the inbound consumer configuration of Focal Point.
