Click to watch in new tab.
To enable users of the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) to preview elements that are published from Focal Point, you must configure a preview view for the linked elements module. You select or create a view that includes only the attributes that are suitable for preview from a CLM application. When the selected view is displayed, it is read-only.
Before you begin
You must be a workspace administrator in Focal Point.
You must register Focal Point as an outbound friend in the CLM application. For details, see Registering Focal Point as an outbound friend in a CLM application.
You must configure consumer authentication for the CLM application. For details, see Configuring consumer authentication for a CLM application in Focal Point.
About this task
To display a preview of elements in artifacts of a CLM application, a preview view must be selected. The attributes of the preview view are displayed in a rich hover in all of the applications that are registered as inbound consumers.
Procedure

2 In the view configuration, identify a relevant view, or add a new view.
3 In the module configuration, select the view for preview:
Click the Settings icon Settings icon and then, from the Configure group, click Modules.
Select the module that contains the elements to link to the CLM application.
From the Preview view list, select the relevant view.
4 Click OK.
