Click to watch in new tab.
To preview linked elements from an application for the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM), you must be a member of the workspace. If you are an administrator, you can authorize users of a CLM application to preview linked elements without logging on to Focal Point.
Before you begin
You must be a global administrator in Focal Point.
You must register Focal Point as an outbound friend in the CLM application: see Registering Focal Point as an outbound friend in a CLM application.
About this task
When Focal Point is registered as an outbound friend in a CLM application, the CLM application is displayed as an inbound consumer in Focal Point.
You can edit the consumer properties of the CLM application. If you delete the CLM application from the list of inbound consumers, the preview of linked elements from the CLM application is disabled.
Procedure
1 Click Application > Consumers (Inbound).
2 Click the name of the relevant CLM application.
3 Select Trusted?, and then click Save.
Results
Users of the CLM application can preview linked elements without an additional user license for Focal Point.
What to do next
Verify that a preview view is selected for the module that contains the elements to be previewed in the CLM application. For more information, see Configuring a view for previewing linked elements in Focal Point
