Alternative method of protecting sample data
Another way of protecting sample data is to restrict who can use the activities that access this data. These activities are Participants, Participant Rules, and Launch. For Participants, you can set access restrictions for viewing individual records and record summaries, editing records, and uploading and downloading records; for Launch, you can restrict who can upload sample scripts (these can be used to access sample data); and you can restrict access to the whole Participant Rules activity to people who need to write or edit sample management scripts. For more information, see Assigning users or roles to activity features.
