Creating a questionnaire definition file
There are three stages to creating a questionnaire definition (.mdd) file that must be carried out in the order shown below:
1 Create the basic metadata document using UNICOM Intelligence Professional.

2 Add card, column and punch information using Metadata Model to Quantum.

3 Amend the column setting for the card number using Metadata Model Explorer. This stage is only necessary if your Quantum file contains card numbers.

Listed below are the steps you need to take to complete each of these stages.
Note You will not be able to carry out these instructions in full if your Quantum file consists of single-card records. This is because Metadata Model to Quantum, which is used in stage 2, cannot open a file that does not contain serial numbers.
