If you use UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Paper/Scan Add‑on Transfer to transfer the scanned data from ReadSoft FORMS, you can optionally export an image of each open-ended and numeric response that is scanned. This means that you can use another product to check, transcribe, or code the open-ended responses, and to check the numeric responses.

When you use this option, UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Paper/Scan Add‑on Transfer stores the image of each open-ended and numeric response in a separate .tiff file and writes the name of the file in a text variable that is associated with the question.

If you use UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Paper/Scan Add‑on Transfer and Quantum CDSC to export the data to a Quantum-format ASCII file, the names of the image files are written to the .dau file.

UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Paper/Scan Add‑on automatically sets up ReadSoft FORMS to export the image files. If you do not want to export them, you need to go into ReadSoft FORMS Manager and select the No Export option manually.
