UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository: Configuring the repository
This section is for experienced system administrators and developers: it explains how to set up and customize a UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository.
Checklist for setting up a UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository
1 Decide whether survey assets should be shared, and should therefore be stored in the repository.
2 Install the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services - Client Adapter for UNICOM Intelligence in your IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository.
3 Use IBM SPSS Deployment Manager to create the required folders in the repository.
4 Create a UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository configuration file and add checklist items.
5 Determine which attributes (that is, additional search fields) your repository requires and add these to the UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository configuration file.
6 Determine which properties your repository requires and add these to the UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository configuration file.
7 Configure and enable the security provider.
8 Depending on your security provider, define the repository users.
9 Using IBM SPSS Deployment Manager, create roles for your repository and assign those roles to the users of your repository.
10 Using IBM SPSS Deployment Manager, give your users the access level they need to the relevant folders for their assigned roles.
11 Using IBM SPSS Deployment Manager, define the topics you need to classify files.
12 Using your UNICOM Intelligence Question Repository application or IBM SPSS Deployment Manager, add files to the repository, ensuring that you assign each file the appropriate topic names and attribute values.
13 If necessary for the security of your survey asset, define the users' access to individual assets.
