Translating call outcomes codes
These instructions assume you have access to the Translation Utility.
To translate the codes
To provide translated call outcomes codes in the Phone Participants interface, do this:
1 Log into UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server - Admin, and then select a project from the project list.
2 Click Files and download the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file (the file should be checked into a shared location).
3 Open the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file in Translation Utility and display the Analysis context.
4 From the Translation Utility menu, select Tools > Add / Remove Languages.
5 Add the translated text in the appropriate language column.
6 Save the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file.
7 Back in the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server - Admin Files activity, upload the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file you just saved. Make sure you select No when asked to rename the file, and select Check In.
8 Login as an interviewer who has access to the updated project and ensure the Options > Preferences are set to the newly added language.
9 Test within the Phone Participants activity. The newly added call outcome translations should display as expected.
To set up alternative languages
To set up alternative languages for the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file, do this:
1 Log into UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server - Admin, and then select a project from the project list.
2 Click Files and download the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file (the file should be saved to a shared location).
3 Open the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file in the UNICOM Intelligence Label Manager utility.
4 Click Add to add a language, select the language from the list, select an alternate language from the list, and then click Add. Click OK to close the Add Language dialog.
5 Use Files > Save or Files > Save As to save the updated .mdd file.
6 In the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server - Admin Files activity, upload the new catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file. Select No when asked to rename the file, and select Check I.
7 Login to UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server - Admin as an interviewer who has access to the updated project and ensure the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Server - Admin Options > Preferences are set to the newly added language.
Notes
If the catiCallOutcomes_<Project Name>.mdd file is updated during active Phone data collection, interviewers must exit and reenter the Phone Participants activity before the translated call outcomes display.
To update the default .mdd for all new projects, update the catiCallOutcomes_default.mdd file (in FMRoot\Shared\Cati) on the primary application server.
