Hide Variables - Shortcuts dialog box
You use the Hide Variables - Shortcuts dialog box to specify that specific types of variables are to be hidden from view.
To opening the Hide Variables - Shortcuts dialog box
1 From the menu, choose Variables > Hide Variables.
2 In the Hide Variables dialog box, click Shortcuts.
Select the check box beside a variable type to indicate that all variables of that type should be hidden. Deselect the check box to indicate that variables of that type should no longer be hidden.
Fields
You can hide the following types of variables:
Coding variable
A categorical variable that stores the responses to an open-ended question after they have been sorted into categories. The process by which the responses to open-ended questions are sorted into categories is usually called coding.
Variables with no labels
Any variable for which a description or question text has not been defined.
