Insert Bands dialog box
You use the Insert Bands dialog box to insert one or more bands in an axis expression for a numeric variable. You open this dialog box by choosing the Insert option on the menu at the top of the Banding tab in the Edit Variable dialog box (see Edit Variable dialog box), the New Variable dialog box (see New Variable dialog box), and Edit Axis dialog box (see Edit Axis dialog box).
Get Min/Max From Case Data
Before you enter any details in the Insert Bands dialog box, the From and To fields display the minimum and maximum values that can exist for the item. For example, in the Museum questionnaire, values allowed for the Number of Previous Visits question can be between 1 and 99. If you want to base your bands on actual minimum and maximum values collected from respondents, click the Get Min/Max from Case Data button to retrieve the values from the data source.
From
Defines the lowest value of the first band that will be inserted.
To
Defines the highest value of the highest band that will be inserted.
Number of bands
Defines the number of bands that are to be inserted.
