Creating a questionnaire definition file for a Quantum file
To read a Quantum file, you must first create a questionnaire definition (.mdd) file (also known as a UNICOM Intelligence metadata document file) that contains card, column, and punch information that describes the format and contents of the Quantum file. If any of that information is missing or incorrect, the Quantum file might not be read correctly and you might not get the results that you are expecting.
To complete this task you need to have access to Metadata Model to Quantum and MDM Explorer.
You will not be able to carry out these instructions in if your Quantum file consists of single-card records. This is because Metadata Model to Quantum, which is used in stage 2, cannot open a file that does not contain serial numbers.
Creating a questionnaire definition file
1 Creating the basic metadata document (stage 1).
2 Adding Card, Column and Punch information (stage 2).
3 If your Quantum file contains card numbers, see Changing the Column setting for the card number (stage 3).
