Pre-installation tasks for UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server
1 Review the security considerations,
See Security considerations.
2 Check that a supported browser is installed on all computers.
For a list of supported browsers, see article K34-1453 in the Knowledge Base at support.unicomsi.com.
3 Make sure that all computers in a cluster have names of a maximum of 15 characters.
This is the Computer name without the domain or workgroup, as displayed in the System item in the Control Panel.
4 Check that each computer in a cluster can communicate with all other computers in the cluster.

5 Check that DCOM is enabled on all computers.

6 Check that SQL Server is running correctly on all computers that will host the Database Service.

7 Check that IIS is running correctly on all computers that will host the Web, Interview, and/or the Accessories Service.

8 Create a user for installing UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server. This user is referred to as the “Installing user”.
See Creating the installing and running users.
9 (Optional.) Create a user for running the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server services. This user will be referred to as the “Running user” in the rest of this document. You can use the Installing user as the Running user if you want.
10 Create a user that can be used for anonymous IIS access to UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server applications. This user is referred to as the “Anonymous Access User”.

11 Create a group for UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server users. This group is referred to as the “UNICOM Intelligence Group”.

12 If any computers that will be running UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server services are behind a firewall, you might need to open ports on the firewall.

When implementing a cluster in a Windows Server 2012 or later environment, you must ensure that TCP port 65100 is open in the Windows firewall. For information on opening ports, see the Windows Server documentation.
13 Make an image or backup of all computers on which UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server software will be installed before you run the installation program.
