Configuring externally-authenticated accounts
Before you configure any database administrator or regular user accounts to be externally-authenticated accounts, make sure that you have completed the following steps:
Make sure that the user has a corresponding operating system or domain level account on the machine where solidDB is running.
Install and enable OpenSSL libcrypto on the server and client computers, see Installing and configuring the OpenSSL toolkit.
Configure external authentication on the server according to your operating system, see Configuring external authentication on servers.
Configure external authentication on the client that the user will use, see Configuring external authentication on clients.
If your solidDB server runs on the Windows operating system, determine the user name format that you must use, see Configuring external authentication on Windows systems.
